Who are we?

Trevor Baker, CEO and co-founder of Active Nutrition and Founder of The Baker Group, has cultivated a dynamic career built on resilience, innovation, and a commitment to helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. Growing up in Madisonville, Kentucky, Trevor was raised by a close-knit family, including his parents, grandparents, Aunts & Uncles. He shared a supportive upbringing with numerous brothers and sisters.

Trevor's journey in the health and fitness industry began with his own transformation. Weighing over 280 pounds during middle and high school, he embarked on a personal weight loss journey in 2017, which inspired a passion for fitness and nutrition. Driven to help others on their health journeys, 

Trevor, alongside his business partner Austin Woodruff, purchased a supplement store in Evansville, IN, in 2018. Together, they grew the store enduring many sleepless night and tear along the way, and by June 2020, they launched Active Nutrition, now a multi-million-dollar company with a 10-15% growth rate yearly. With five locations across Indiana and Kentucky, including licensed and repurchased stores in Jasper and Terre Haute, Active Nutrition remains a leader in innovation and standards within the supplement industry. Under going a full rebrand in 2024 to align itself with its growth in the region and industry. 

Before founding Active Nutrition, Trevor honed his business skills through various roles, including an impactful tenure at Computers Plus in Evansville, IN. After earning his Associate’s Degree in Computer Science in May 2012, Trevor joined Computers Plus, starting as a retail specialist. Displaying unwavering dedication, he visited the store daily until he met the owner, Bill Fulkerson, eventually securing the position. Trevor quickly made his mark, setting sales records and selling over 300 lifetime warranty plans in one year, ultimately becoming the General Manager. Leaving Computers Plus in 2018, he founded Social Guru, a media and web development firm serving local clients like Evansville Harley Davidson and Advanced Medical Weight Loss, helping small businesses thrive in digital spaces.

Trevor's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his company were tested in the early days of Active Nutrition. Opening a second location before fully prepared created financial strain, leading to a temporary pay reduction. Determined to keep the business afloat, Trevor sold his home to sustain both the business and his own livelihood, embodying the grit needed to succeed. His drive and sacrifice paid off, as Active Nutrition continued to grow steadily, even through the challenges of of the COVID-19 pandemic, expanding to new locations in Owensboro, KY, and Vincennes, IN.

In addition to his entrepreneurial success, Trevor is known for his community involvement. Active Nutrition sponsors the Indiana Muscle event, with Trevor serving as the Executive Producer and Co-Promoter, supporting fitness and community engagement since 2020. Recognized as one of the "20 Under 40" most influential people in the Tristate area in 2023, Trevor has also generated an estimated $50 million in revenue through his career, leveraging a blend of street smarts and business acumen to create impactful results.

Trevor brings unique perspectives to his leadership role, aiming to foster an inclusive and supportive environment at Active Nutrition. With an impressive trajectory from a personal transformation to building a successful business, Trevor remains committed to helping others reach their fullest potential. His story is a testament to resilience, community values, and the power of hard work and innovation.
